New Age Fencing
Terms and conditions
Last updated 9 October 2026
These terms cover your use of this website and explain how we quote for and take on work. The work itself is governed by the written quote you accept. If that quote and these terms differ, the quote applies.

Using this website
You may use this website to learn about our work and to ask us for a quote. We try to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be free of errors or interruptions.
The fence planner
- The planner measures a boundary that you trace on satellite imagery. The imagery belongs to outside providers, can be out of date and can be slightly out of position, so every measurement it gives is approximate.
- The planner shows no prices. Nothing on this website is an offer or a quote.
- Before we quote, we visit the property and take our own measurements. The fence is set out from the surveyed boundary pegs, not from the planner.
Quotes
- We quote in writing after a site visit. The quote sets out the work, the price, the deposit and payment stages, and how long the quote remains open for acceptance.
- A quote is based on what we could see and measure on the day. If the job changes, or if we find something that could not reasonably have been seen, such as rock, buried services or a boundary that differs from the one pointed out, we will explain the effect on the price and get your agreement before we carry on.
Placing an order
We schedule a job once you have accepted the quote in writing and paid the deposit shown on it. The balance is payable as the quote sets out.
What we need from you
- Boundaries. You are responsible for showing us the correct boundary line and pegs. If a boundary is uncertain, a land surveyor should confirm it before we build.
- Approvals. Some fences, walls and gates need approval from the municipality, a body corporate or a homeowners' association. Getting that approval is your responsibility unless your quote says we will do it.
- Underground services. Please tell us about any pipes, cables or irrigation you know of along the fence line.
- Access. We need reasonable access to the site, and to water and electricity where the work requires them.
Timing
We will give you an expected start and completion date. These are estimates. Weather, supplier delays and site conditions can move them, and we will keep you informed if they do.
Electric fencing and gate motors
Where a job includes electric fencing, it is installed and certified as South African law requires. Gate motors and other branded equipment also carry their manufacturer's warranty.
Quality and your rights
You have the rights given to consumers by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. These include the right to goods that are of good quality and free of defects, and to work that is done properly and with care. If goods we supply prove defective within six months, you may ask us to repair or replace them or to refund you. Any guarantee we give beyond this is stated on your quote. See our refunds and cancellations policy for how this works in practice.
Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our own negligence or by defective goods we supply, as the law provides. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect loss, for loss caused by information you gave us that turned out to be wrong, or for the accuracy of outside map imagery. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
Photographs and content
The photographs, logo and text on this website belong to New Age Fencing and may not be reused without our permission. We may photograph completed work for our own records and marketing. Tell us if you would prefer that your property is not shown.
Your personal information
Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Complaints
If something is not right, please contact us first so that we can put it right. If we cannot resolve it together, you may approach the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud at cgso.org.za or the National Consumer Commission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page on the day you accept a quote is the one that applies to that job.
